Blood, Dreams + Gold exhibition

What a great turnout last night at the opening night of my latest exhibition, Blood, Dreams + Gold in Shoreditch. Lahpet is one of only two Burmese restaurants in London and provided the perfect setting to exhibit the collection of the Circular Railway portraits.

Dan and the lovely people at Lahpet provided some delicious treats and fantastic cocktails for everyone giving us a flavour of the wonderful food and drinks they have to offer.

I’d like to give a big shout out to several people who helped make this exhibition possible.

  • My dear friend Anna Chapman beautifully wrote the background of the story of the Circular Railway and background of the collection and captioned the images

  • Dan, Zaw and the wonderful staff at Lahpet who not only hosted the exhibition but provided delicious canapés and cocktails for everyone

  • Paul and Rosie at eFrame.co.uk did the photos justice with an excellent job mounting and framing

  • Ian and Gabrielle at London Fields Brewery generously donated several cases of fine Pale Ale and Pilsner

  • Top designer Dean Wakeling did a great job with the invitation and logo

  • My lovely Juliette who ensured the evening was organised down to the finest detail, helped selecting the images and being with me on the Circular Railway when I took all the photos last year xx

Also I’m delighted to have made a number of sales on the evening from which proceeds will be donated to the Rohingya Appeal.

The exhibition continues at Lahpet, 58 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch, E1 6JW through October. It’s well worth booking a table there and making a an evening of it. Excellent restaurant with amazing art - how can you possibly resist? :)
